Crest Nicholson are expected to start work on an 89-unti development this moth. The project is located in New Cross Gate, in the London Borough of Lewisham. The properties as part of this development will be released to the market at some point early next year, and it is thought that the development is scheduled for occupation by the spring of 2019.
The site is currently used as warehouses and artist’s studios but the development at Bond House will transform the existing space in to a high-quality mixed-used development. The plan for the project is to create 77 private units, of which 7 will be affordable rentals and five will be made in to shared ownership units. It is thought that Crest Nicholson plan to create a space of 930m² to be used as flexible employment space and will be split in to multiple affordable artist’s studios with a double height space that will be used as a gallery. The development plans also include a stunning landscaped courtyard that will be surrounded by the development and feature a sculpture from a local artist. Some of the homes in this development will benefit from views of the London skyline.
This Bound House development will benefit from having good transport links because New Cross Gate station is just a three-minute walk away. From this station it is a journey of around six minutes to London Bridge station. Bond House is also expected to be on a key wayfinder on route 21 of the planned National Cycle Network. The Network is spread out across the UK and it id thought that residents will have access to the route from right outside their front door.
Crest Nicholson is currently focusing on developing sites around London that will offer affordable home ownership options as well as good transport links to the capital.
