Essential Projects has revealed that they have taken on a new design engineer. The creator of bespoke metalwork and glass has appointed Kieran Hickman as design engineer after a number of new contract wins for the manufacturing company. These contracts include work that will be carried out for Next, Waitrose and Oakfurnitureland.
As part of his new role with Essential Projects, Kieran will be responsible for the technical drawings design that will be used for quotations. Kieran will need to make sure the designs reflect the work that is involved. His design engineer role will also seem him produce CAD drawings to be used by fabricators in order to make sure that all of the component parts that are specified for the project are manufactured at the highest quality. It is thought that Kieran Hickman will also play a key role in Essential Project’s procurement process and will work on making sure that the required components are sourced in a timely manner.
Kieran Hickman has more than ten years of design expertise. In previous roles, Kieran worked for Metreel as their mechanical design engineer. Before working at Metreel, he worked for ACA Engineering Consultants, starting his career as an apprentice. Kieran was looking for new opportunities after his previous work started to become repetitive. It is thought that his new role at Essential Projects will allow him to use his engineering and design skills.
Essential Projects have experienced a boost in their business, which means they have increased their staff numbers to provide additional expertise. It is thought that taking on more staff will also lead to another increase in workload, and so on. Essential Projects are aiming to expand on their reputation for working accurately, efficiently and within budget. Hopefully the appointment of Kieran as design engineer will lead to more success for the company.
