Between the 16th and the 24th of September, London will be showcasing a range of different design companies, looking to celebrate local and international companies alike. The London Design Festival this month is the perfect opportunity for the Capital city to demonstrate why it is seen as the design capital of the world.
The festival is in its 15th year and still remains popular. This year the festival will be supporting hundreds of unique and innovative events at a number of different locations across the city. The number of events on offer allows for the widest spectrum of design to be celebrated, meaning that there will be something for all design enthusiasts everywhere to enjoy.
Decorex International 2017 is almost an event in itself, celebrating its 40th year this year, and offering exhibition space for product launches and celebrating the impact of design collaborations. Decorex is well-known for being the leading destination in the UK for design and a main feature of London Design Festival will be the Decorex International Champagne Bar, where guests can enjoy a drink and enjoy the beautiful and prestigious surroundings.
There will also be the opportunity to take part in workshops in artisanal wood and leather work, as part of the Smallbone of Devizes: ‘Meet the maker’ programme and on offer with the joiners at the Wilshire workshop. The workshop will take place between 4pm and 8pm on the 21st of September at Thurloe Place in Knightsbridge. Here there will also be a pasta making class held by Electrolux Grand Cuisine.
Villa Walala is another exhibition which will feature at the London Design Festival. Designed by Camille Walala, the colourful fun architectural exhibition will be located in Exchange Square in Broadgate. A life size and colourful building-block castle that is covered with digital print patterns is an eye-catching addition to the London sights during the Festival.
