Mace has awarded a contract that has been valued at £6.7 million to Vital Energi. The contract in question is one for Build & Design and will culminate in the creation of an energy solution which will be installed in a development on 145 City Road. The site at 145 City Road is for the development of the Atlas Building. This building is being constructed as part of the City Road Basin., which is a development worth £1 billion. When the Atlas building is finished, it will stand at 40 storeys high. It has been predicted that the Atlas building will be the highest building in the Tech City. London that has been created for residential use.
Vital Energi have announced that while they are working on the development, their team will be working in collaboration with the numerous local authorities in order to generate new jobs and prospects for companies in the local area. The group that is working on the Atlas building have established a working relationship with people at the Borough of Hackney. Vital Energi have also offered events such as trade fairs in order to act on their pledge to offer more job prospects. The potential to capitalize on the project in order to reap the rewards for the local economy have also been addressed.
As part of the contract that was awarded by Mace, Vital Energy will be constructing and installing energy solutions which will consist of a central energy centre and a plant room. The central hub for the energy provisions will be located in the basement of the Atlas building, whereas the plant room will be situated on the 19th floor in order to make sure that the all of the residents can benefit from good water pressure and supply. The Atlas building in London will hold over 300 residences across the 152m high expanse of the structure.
