Balfour Beatty and Oberlanders Architects have completed their construction project to create a £32 million pound student accommodation development. The project is located on Kennedy Street in Glasgow and the housing development has been completed ready for its first round of students this summer. This multi-million pound development will offer much needed accommodation for students who are moving to the city to study at one of the number of different Colleges and Universities in the city.
The accommodation, named Foundry Courtyard, consists of 536 en-suite bedrooms in an ideal location for Strathclyde University, City of Glasgow College and Glasgow Caledonian University. The development also has a range of other features including a gym, cinema and games area in order to hopefully attract new student tenants ahead of the new academic year.
Fresh Student Living will be charge of the management of Foundry Courtyard on behalf of Balfour Beatty. The student accommodation offers a wide range of en-suite accommodation all finished to a high standard. There are opportunities for students to live in a shared flat, or in a more private penthouse studio with great views if the local area. The mix of accommodation on offer at Foundry Courtyard has been designed to appeal to as many different students as possible.
The Fresh Student Living complex includes a variety of flats and mews houses that have all been arranged around a communal courtyard, and will open this month to students. Fresh Student Living will also have a team operating in this student accommodation in order to offer students support through friendly, approachable and knowledgeable staff. The team that will be working at the student housing site will be making every effort to make sure that the student tenants feel perfectly at home and ready for the rest of the academic year.
