The Society of British Interior Design Awards are looking for their winners again this year. The SBID aims to discover, recognise and praise excellent international interior design across a variety of sectors from top of the range luxury to the newest innovations. Winning the SBID Awards is considered as one of the highest achievements within the industry of Interior Design. The award considers submissions on a global level, from 5 continents and 43 countries.
The Awards look at a wide range of categories from Residential projects valued under £1 million to Retail spaces as well as Club and Bar designs and Healthcare projects. These awards are open to recognise all technical and artistic excellence within the industry, no matter the project. Winners can then enjoy an exclusive networking event for free held inside the House of Lords and Westminster as well as being included in that year’s SBID coffee table book and enjoy a wide variety of media exposure.
The judges for these awards consists of the respected experts within the industry including Lewis Carnie from the BBC and Marek Reichman the Chief Creative Officer and Design Director at Aston Martin.
The 2017 version of the awards is set to be bigger than before. The two most popular categories are to be split in to more specific categories, meaning there will be two more winners than in previous years. The Hotel Design category will be divided in to Public Space and Rooms and Suites sections in order to focus the previously vast category. The Residential category will also be narrowed, allowing the decision maker to look at and award Apartments and Houses as separate categories. However, this is only the case in properties valued under £1 million.
Architects and Interior designers interested in taking part in this year’s SBID Awards are encouraged to submit their work by no later than Friday 30 June 2017.
