Housebuilder Bellway has moved its Durham division into new offices in Sunderland to accommodate the company’s plans for growth. The move has seen the division relocate from its previous offices in Darlington, to new premises twice as large at Rainton Bridge Business Park in Houghton le Spring.
The division is currently building homes across Teesside and County Durham, including Wellfield Rise in Wingate and at Hartwell Park, in Hartlepool.
“This move is a hugely positive step, as we begin our next phase of growth as a division. Our new and much larger premises will allow us to increase our workforce, as well as support larger developments within the region, as we increase our build target to 500 units per year,” said Jon Horan, Managing Director of Bellway Durham.
“The new office has also placed us in a more central location to our developments, which will make them more accessible and help us gain an even greater understanding of the local areas in which we are delivering new homes. We now look forward to settling into our new space and moving forward with our strategy to meet the growing demand for new housing across the area.”
Bellway Durham, which is residing in Sunderland, is currently building new homes at nine developments across Teesside and County Durham, with three further developments set to be launched in the coming months.
Further sites which are also within the planning stages include Sniperley Park, a scheme which is proposing to bring up to 400 new homes to Durham.
