This is the third time in a row that the business has been awarded this accolade. Gleeds is an international property and construction consultancy. The business has more than 130 years’ experience within the property and construction sector. Gleeds employs 1600 people across six continents and in 65 offices. Gleeds tries to be an international business that still works and thinks locally and offers services in almost every sector including project management, commercial and contract management. For such large company to be awarded such and accolade again will boost the company even more, which could lead to further growth. The company focus on achieving a sustainable level of growth by investing in their infrastructure.
Investors in People, or IIP is a standard that looks at people management. The organisation looks at what is requires in order to get success through leadership, support and management of people within a business. The award represents Gleeds’ continued commitment to excellence as well as their continuous development of its internal stakeholders. Gleeds focuses on developing its people and maintaining a good relationship with its clients. The company also ensure that they have strong leaders within their team that all share the same aim and therefore see that the company is successful. There is always a forward focus from the business, looking at ways to meet their targets for the future.
As part of the IIP standard, a business undergoes assessment which looks at 196 different areas of the business. From this extensive assessments, Gleeds had met 193 of these criteria. This achievement makes them one of a few businesses within the industry that have been accredited with the Gold Standard and that are recognised as a Gold Standard Investors in People business.
