The Priestley Group, a Leeds-based specialist property group, has invested £1.2 million in its head office on Elland Road. The Group’s construction arm, Priestley Construction, carried out the extensive refurbishment programme that included a new glass atrium extension.
The Leeds headquarters bring the company’s three main divisions under one roof: Priestley Construction, a main contractor specialising in the construction and design of conversions and refurbishments, Priestley Homes, a developer which specialises in the acquisition and residential development of heritage and commercial buildings, and Priestley Lettings, a lettings agent with offices in Leeds and Bradford.
The three-storey site was purchased by the Group in November 2017 from the Shepherd Building Group. Priestley Lettings is now occupying the entire ground floor of the new head office, while Priestley Homes and Priestley Construction took over the second and third floors.
“We have always called Yorkshire our home and this significant investment into new premises reaffirms our strong connection to Leeds and the region,” said Nathan Priestley, founder and chief executive officer of the Priestley Group. “We are at a really exciting time in the business; our development pipeline is the largest it’s been in the company’s history, with over 700 homes being delivered across 20 major developments. These schemes are instrumental in helping us to achieve a record £32m turnover in 2018, a figure which we project will more than double to £68m in 2019.”
The new head office meets the needs of the Group’s expanding team, which currently contains 106 employees and is expected to reach 300 by 2021. “Our award-winning, loyal team now has a modern, advanced space in which to grow and continue to deliver out highly specialised work across the North,” added Nathan.
In addition to this news, Priestley Homes was recently named the region’s third fastest growing small business in The Yorkshire Fastest 50 2018.
