Walker Sime, the Manchester-based consultancy, has announced the appointment of Peter Jackson as its new UK Director of Project Management. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Jackson brings unparalleled expertise and a proven track record to this newly created senior role.
Jackson’s appointment is part of Walker Sime’s strategy to expand and enhance its project management services. Having held prominent roles at Atkins Realis and Turner & Townsend, he is widely respected for successfully delivering complex projects and leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding results.
Among his career highlights is leading the Government Hub Programme for HMRC, overseeing the delivery of 13 state-of-the-art commercial office spaces across the UK. He also has significant experience in town centre regeneration, having played a key role in high-profile projects in Urmston and Chorlton. Additionally, Jackson has collaborated with large teams of project managers, quantity surveyors, and building surveyors across numerous sectors while working closely with local authorities in the North West.

Jackson is equally enthusiastic about upholding and building on Walker Sime’s strong reputation, particularly as the firm celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024.
He will work alongside Cathy Palmer, Walker Sime’s Director of Regeneration Delivery, focusing on regeneration-led real estate projects. His expertise will be instrumental in advancing the government’s ambitious goal to deliver 1.5 million homes, ensuring that Walker Sime continues to play a leading role in transformative developments.
