RCM have formed a new charity partnership with a North Staffordshire hospice. The supplier for complete through wall solutions to the construction industry, RCM focuses on supporting their local community and giving back. In order to do this, they have formed a charity partnership with a North Staffordshire Hospice which is known for delivering palliative and end of life care to their patients. RCM works with clients and supply chain partners in their day to day operations in order to find the mutually beneficial and most efficient solution for each of their projects. In order to support their local community, the company will be working with the Douglas Macmillan Hospice, or the DougieMac.
The DougieMac delivers free care to cancer and non-cancer palliative care and end of life patients every day, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. In order to deliver such a high volume of care for free, the hospice needs to find 75% of their operating costs, which have been calculated at £12 million each year. Therefore, the Hospice depends on donations from the local community.
The amazing staff and team of volunteers that work to deliver this care ensure that the only adult hospice in North Staffordshire can keep operating and caring for those with life limiting illnesses. In order to support this amazing cause, RCM will be organising and holding an event in September to raise as much money as possible. The Corporate Charitable Golf Day is a result of the company seeing first-hand the care and support that is offered by all of those at the hospice. In order to raise money for the charity, RCM customers have agreed to sponsor each of the holes at the Golf Day. Hopefully the event will raise a significant amount of money to support the DougieMac Hospice.
