UPVC Maintenance Supplies hosted an Open Day of the 7th of July in order to raise funds for the company’s two chosen charities which are the Leeds Rhino Foundation and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The Open Day was also hosted by the leading hardware supplier for window and door repairs in order to celebrate their the company’s silver anniversary. UPVC Maintenance has been operating for 25 years and the fundraising celebration for this momentous occasion was thought up by the Finance Manager at the company, Emma Earnshaw.
The UPVC repair company was founded in Yorkshire and has remained local throughout their twenty five years in operation. Therefore in order to give back to the county and the local area, two Yorkshire based charities were selected for fundraising. The company has always worked to support the community through fundraising for local charities and it is seen as a central part of the company’s ethos to give back.
UPVC Maintenance Supplies has announced that through the provision of cake and competitions such as throwing wet sponges at the counter staff at the Open Day, the company managed to raise £1,000 for the two charities. Local businesses got involved in the celebrations and fundraising by donating a range of raffle prizes such as theme park tickets, spa vouchers and a bottle of gin to name a few of the prizes that were up for grabs. The exceptional reputation of both of the charities selected by UPVC Maintenance meant that companies were more than happy to show their support for the event.
The Owner and Managing Director of the company, David Earnshaw started his career working in maintenance and repair before noticing the demand for the supply of hardware fitters that struck out on his own to build his own company. The company continued to thrive, with UPVC Maintenance opening their first formal trade counter in Pudsey in 2005, then moving to their current location in Birstall in 2010. The success of the supply section of the business meant that in 2011 the company was able to stop offering a repair service, working instead to advise customers about a network of colleagues who could carry out the repair work for them.
