The Lothian concrete thinner leading-edge roof tile from Russell Roof Tiles (RRT) Natural Range, has become one of its most in-demand tiles in 2023.
Russell Roof Tiles, is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of concrete roof tiles and UPVC accessories, consistently producing thousands of products every week across its two sites in Burton and Lochmaben, Scotland.
The Lothian tiles is available in six distinct colours, with slate grey, being the most popular choice due to its aesthetic appeal and practicality.
Russell Roof Tiles has seen a growing number of its customers, operating in both the private and social housing sectors, opting for the Lothian tile, including Bloor Homes, MyPad, Wheeldon and Modus Partnerships.
Wheeldon, which specialises in housing developments in the East Midlands, has been a long-standing partner of Russell Roof Tiles primarily due to the success and aesthetic appeal of their thinner leading-edge tile range, which provides a cost-effective and durable solution.
The most recent development in which Wheeldon specified Lothian tiles, was in Belper, Derbyshire for a private housing project, comprising of newly built 3 and 4-bedroom homes, nestled on the picturesque hillside above the desirable market town.
For each of the new builds, the slate-like appearance of the Lothian roof tile perfectly complemented the architectural aesthetics of the region, where slate is a very prominent choice.
The Belper development signifies another success for both Wheeldon and Russell Roof Tiles.
Another notable partnership has been forged with MyPad, a distinguished residential developer, on their project, Dove Garage in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, in collaboration with Nottingham Community Housing Association.
The disused building, formerly used as a service station, was demolished, and in its place, 37 smart new affordable homes have been built to help families in the area get on the housing ladder.
For the affordable houses, MyPad specified a top-quality, reliable, cost-effective concrete tile with the replication of slate for the scheme. Russell Roof Tiles recommended its Lothian tile, which was given the green light for all 37 houses along with the full dry fix system.
In addition to these Midlands successes, Russell Roof Tiles recently completed a significant project at the Squires Mews Care Home in Northampton, in which the Lothian tile was the contractor’s favoured option.
The project involved the construction of 59 bedrooms, marking the first collaboration between Russell Roof Tiles and Seagrave Developments.
Russell Roof Tiles’ increased prominence in the Midlands and beyond continues to solidify its reputation as one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of concrete roof tiles and UPVC accessories.
The company is continually reviewing its product line to ensure it meets the ever-evolving needs of its customers.
Recently, Russell Roof Tiles reconfigured its Natural Range, renaming one of its products to Lothian 145, which has similar characteristics to the original but with a 145 mm head lap.
As the demand for thinner leading-edge tiles continues to rise across the Midlands, Russell Roof Tiles, remains committed to supplying products for the top housebuilders and high-profile social housing and commercial projects across the UK.
