Independent buying agent Heaton & Partners is expanding its role in Country House Consultancy and Property Management with the appointment of Tom Hayes to the team.
Tom’s role will encompass developing and leading a department in charge of the day-to-day management of country houses and estates for both resident and absent owners, as well as wider land agency duties for farmers and equestrian operations. Heaton & Partners will take on every aspect of the management, including employing and interviewing estate staff such as gardeners, housekeepers, cooks, maintenance staff and drivers, both in London and the country.
Tom has considerable experience for the role, having previously managed private clients’ estates in the southeast of England as part of his role within the land management division of Strutt & Parker. Prior to that he was the rural property manager for an extensive private estate in Hampshire. He has also spent some years farming in the south of England.
“I am particularly excited about the new position,” says Tom. “Wherever our clients buy a property, we will be ready to offer a full management service if required.
“Although Heaton & Partners has long offered property management on a smaller scale, my job is to expand this side of the business, continuing to promote the service to clients who buy a property through us, and also to take on the management of established properties and estates from elsewhere as well.”
Edward Heaton, founder and Managing Partner of Heaton & Partners, comments: “Tom brings with him a wealth of knowledge that will be vital in helping us to grow this important area of our business. Having an experienced manager in charge will ensure that we can offer a market-leading service.”
Heaton & Partners predominantly operates in London and the south of England with offices in Newbury and Knightsbridge.
