Developers of Nottingham’s regeneration projects will be showcasing its offerings to potential buyers at MIPIM. Held in Cannes every year, the world’s largest property show will include Nottingham’s most significant regeneration projects. The event will be held from the 14th to the 17th March.
Sladen Estates and Peveril Securities both bought Unity Square in Nottingham with the intention of improving and progressing the areas development. This development is not the first for the two companies, as they have jointly completed more than £300 million worth of projects in the last 16 years. It is hoped that the Square will improve the city’s southern gateway further. The development mentioned is located opposite Nottingham Railway Station. On the site there is planning permission for up to 450,000 sq. ft. space that will be used for Grade A office space. The development will also include a new hotel and other retail and leisure facilities. These buildings will encompass a new public square.
Lacking new development hinders Nottingham’s market, so this project, named Unity Square will boost the market, especially by providing office space which is particularly lacking in the local market. This area near Nottingham’s Railway Station has already undergone some long term investment in order to improve the area in accordance with the vision of it being a Southern Gateway. This investment could be exciting for Nottingham as it will boot the local economy.
Promoting Unity Square is vital for the vision of a redeveloped Nottingham, and advertising the space at MIPIM could be advantageous, as there will be a showcase of premises that place occupiers in the heart of the most modern part of the city. Investments made at the MIPIM will be really important for the success of the area, and could be advantageous for investors in terms of investing before further redevelopment.
At the MIPIM, the Nottingham team out in Cannes will have the chance to talk to some of the world’s most significant investors, an exceptional opportunity for the development team.
