All homes have been sold at a new housing development in Rochford more than five months before construction work is due to come to an end. The final few properties for sale have been reserved off plan at Elizabeth Gardens, a development of 401 homes being built by Ashberry Homes, with the buyers set to move in by the summer.
The developer is providing a range of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes at the site, off Hall Road, to the west of the town. Elizabeth Gardens is part of a wider 620-home scheme being delivered in partnership with Bellway, whose Eastbury Park development is now complete.
Kate Jones, Sales Manager at Ashberry Homes, said: “We are delivering a wide range of homes at Elizabeth Gardens, from two-bedroom properties suitable for first-timer buyers right through to large five-bedroom detached houses ideal for growing families.
“The varied mix of house sizes and designs has attracted buyers from different stages of the property ladder, and this is one of the main reasons why the development has sold out so quickly.
“The attractive yet convenient location has also been a major factor in the development’s popularity. Elizabeth Gardens benefits from a semi-rural setting on the edge of the Essex countryside and just five miles from the coast. At the same time, it is only a 10-minute walk from Rochford railway station which has direct trains to London in under an hour.
“This has proved to be an extremely appealing combination for those seeking a new value-for-money home in the ever-popular county of Essex.”
At least £3.5million is being invested in local education through financial contributions towards local services being made as part of the 620-home development. More than £225,000 is being provided for local healthcare, £15,000 towards air quality measures, £60,000 to aid conservation in the area and £50,000 for highways.
Kate said: “At Ashberry Homes, our aim is not just to deliver top-quality new homes but to assist in the creation of thriving new communities which are a positive addition to the locations we build in. We can see a brand-new neighbourhood made up of people of all ages forming at Elizabeth Gardens and are looking forward to welcoming more residents to the development in the coming months.”
Construction work at Elizabeth Gardens is set to come to an end in July this year.
