First-time buyers looking to step onto the property ladder are being invited to an event at Bellway’s Lucas Green development in Shirley, Solihull.
The Help to Buy event, which takes place from 11am to 5pm on Saturday 23 April and Sunday 24 April, will enable prospective purchasers to speak to an independent financial advisor to find out more about the benefits of the scheme.
Help to Buy is available with a five per cent deposit on all two-bedroom apartments being sold at Lucas Green, where Bellway is building 39 apartments and 37 houses on the former Lucas Engineering site, off Dog Kennel Lane.
Marie Richards, Sales Director at Bellway West Midlands, said: “Lucas Green has generated a significant amount of interest from young professionals working in Birmingham thanks to its excellent road and rail links to the city.
“The apartments at Lucas Green are particularly well-suited to first-time buyers, thanks to their open-plan layouts and the fact that they are available with Help to Buy.
“Our spacious show apartment is also available to view and gives potential homeowners the perfect chance to see what life at Lucas Green could be like for them.
“We hosted a very successful Help to Buy event at Lucas Green earlier this month (April) and we are looking forward to showing more first-time buyers how the scheme could help them achieve their dream of homeownership.”
Help to Buy enables first-time buyers to purchase a new home with just a five per cent deposit and 75 per cent mortgage. The remaining 20 per cent is provided as an equity loan which is interest free for the first five years.
Properties at Lucas Green include ceramic floor tiles or carpets, integrated appliances, and off-road parking, while local amenities such as a gym and shopping facilities are also nearby.
