The new properties at Bellway’s Mead Fields development in Weston-super-Mare are being bought almost as fast as they become available, reflecting the need for new housing in the area. All of the latest selection of homes released for sale at the development off Wolvershill Road are sold, with a new choice of three and four-bedroom properties coming in the next couple of weeks.
In all, 74 of the 131 private homes being built at the development have now been sold, with 43 of these properties completed and now occupied by their new owners.
Rachel Way, Sales Manager of Bellway South West, said: “The unparalleled demand we are seeing at Mead Fields demonstrates the urgent demand for new housing in Weston. All 32 of the plots released to buyers when the project was launched last March were sold out by July and all of the latest release of homes have now been bought.
“We are meeting a direct need for new housing with a good mix of property sizes and styles – including houses and apartments – to cater for the requirements of a wide range of people.
“Buyers here also appreciate the location of the development, which is exceptionally convenient as it is close to the coastline, near several well-reputed schools, and only a ten-minute drive from the town centre, as well as being near junction 21 of the M5.
“The quick sales rate here also demonstrates the confidence that people have in homes built by Bellway. The properties we have released for sale so far have sold with an immediacy that shows why we have continued to be rated as a five-star builder by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for the past five years in a row.”
A five-star rating from the HBF means that more than 90 per cent of Bellway customers have said they would recommend the housebuilder to a friend or family member.
Bellway is delivering a total of 150 new homes at Mead Fields, including 131 homes for private sale and 19 affordable homes. Nine of the affordable homes have been completed and handed over to housing association Alliance Homes so far. A further selection of three and four-bedroom houses are due to be released for sale later this month.
