Construction work is nearing completion at Bellway’s The Furlongs development in Great Leighs, where there are now just 11 new homes still for sale.
Bellway’s The Furlongs development; the housebuilder is delivering 100 new homes at the site, off Main Road, including a mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties for sale. A total of 65 detached houses are being sold on the open market, with the remaining 35 homes being provided as affordable housing for local people.
Among the homes currently available to buy are the four-bedroom Waterville and Churchill showhomes, which can both be viewed by prospective purchasers by appointment.
Plans for the development also include a children’s play area and extensive landscaping across the site, with all work scheduled to be finished this September.
Jenny Walker, Sales Director at Bellway Essex, said: “There has been a strong appetite for the homes at The Furlongs, with nearly 80 per cent of the properties for sale being snapped up before the launch of our Waterville showhome earlier this year.
“The Furlongs has been extremely popular with young families as it is around half a mile from the highly regarded Great Leighs Primary School. The development is also suitable for commuters due to the close proximity of the A131 and A120, offering easy access to nearby towns and cities such as Braintree, Chelmsford and Colchester.
“The Furlongs is also situated around a 10-minute drive from Cressing, Braintree and White Notley railway stations, all of which have services to London Liverpool Street taking just over an hour.
“We are making good progress on site and are on track to complete construction work by September. We look forward to welcoming more residents to this vibrant new community in Great Leighs in the coming months.”
House-hunters can take advantage of Bellway’s Express Mover scheme to secure their new home at The Furlongs. Under the scheme, Bellway will work with a local estate agent to market the customer’s existing home on their behalf until a buyer is found. The housebuilder also pays the estate agent fee.
Alternatively, buyers can avoid the stress and hassle of being in a chain by using Bellway’s Part Exchange scheme. The housebuilder will make an offer on the customer’s current property based on an independent valuation, enabling them to reserve their new home without having to find a buyer for their old one. There are also no estate agent, advertising, or Energy Performance certificate fees to pay.
A selection of four-bedroom properties are still available at the Furlongs, with prices starting from £529,995.
