Bewley Homes is a public limited company that has been working to deliver high quality new homes in a range of different desirable locations since 1991. Bewley have released the story of Jodie Hope, one of their employees who joined as a Technical Assistant slightly more than a year ago. In order to demonstrate the support given to young talent in the developer industry as well as showcasing success experienced by women in the industry. It is hoped that the progression of Jodie Hope will act as an example for young people across the UK, especially young women, who are considering pursuing a career in the construction or property development industry.
In her role as Technical Assistant, Jodie Pope works as an assistant for the Technical Team at Bewley Homes. Jodie’s work in this role over the course of the past year has been incredibly diverse and required a lot of hard work and dedication by Jodie. Bewley Homes team members have been on hand to support and mentor her throughout her first year at the company and allowed her to build up her industry knowledge.
Jodie has worked on the implementation of new developments as well as seeing new projects through from inception all of the way through land purchase and planning permission to construction, completion and sale. With a range of different roles as part of her job, Jodie has been working for the past year on something different nearly every day.
Jodie has succeeded in her role and has proven her ability. In order to reflect this, Jodie has been promoted to Technical Co-ordinator, which means that she will manage two dedicated Bewley Homes projects and communicating with different consultants, liaise and co-ordinate. On top of this Bewley Homes will also be supporting Jodie as she studies part time to complete her Master’s Degree in Construction Management.
