Bellway Wessex is preparing to release the first homes for sale at a new housing development in North Bersted.
Properties at the housebuilder’s Rookery Park development, off New Barn Lane, will go on sale this month.
A total of 50 homes will be delivered on the 4.8-acre site, situated next to Jubilee Recreation Ground, including 35 houses for private sale and 15 affordable properties for rent or shared ownership. The development will also provide 113 car parking spaces for residents.
Planning permission for the homes was granted by Arun District Council last year, with construction work beginning on site in May.
A sales office is due to open at the development this month (September) with visitors to be welcomed by appointment, and the first homes are expected to be completed in January.
Kim Caldwell, Sales Director at Bellway Wessex, said: “There has been a high level of enquiries at Rookery Park ahead of the development’s launch next month. With only a limited number of properties available to purchase, we are therefore expecting the homes to be snapped up very quickly.
“Rookery Park will offer a variety of two, three and four-bedroom houses to cater for buyers at different stages of the property ladder, from first-time buyers to large families.
“Buyers will benefit from an enviable location that has an attractive rural setting on the edge of open countryside and is within walking distance of a range of village amenities. There are several primary schools nearby, including Bartons Primary School just half a mile away, so we are anticipating that demand from local families will be particularly high.”
All the homes at Rookery Park are from the Artisan Collection, Bellway’s flagship range of house types which combines traditional craftmanship and attention to detail with the very latest construction techniques.
