The first homes at a new housing development in Ripley are now complete, with the first two residents already moved in, and another four due to move in by the end of January. Amber Rise is a new neighbourhood of 143 homes being built by Ashberry Homes on land off Whiteley Road.
The Ripley development comprises a range of two, three and four-bedroom houses for private sale, alongside two and three-bedroom affordable homes available for local people through shared ownership or rent. Ashberry Homes is part of the Bellway Group and Amber Rise is part of a joint scheme with Bellway to deliver 400 new homes in the town.
Julie Wild, Sales Manager for Ashberry Homes, said: “The development has passed a key milestone by welcoming its first few residents and we look forward to welcoming more to their new homes at Amber Rise in the next few weeks.
“This is proving to be a particularly popular development with parents of young children, due to the fact it’s within walking distance of good schools and the town centre – it’s an ideal place for a young family to make their home.
“As well as providing new homes in the area, we are committed to supporting the wider community in Ripley and we joined together with Bellway to help Ripley Infant School purchase new outdoor play equipment earlier this year.
“We now have a showhome open on site, so that prospective purchasers can visit and get a feel for what it might be like to live here, and would encourage people to book an appointment to come and take a tour.”
Construction of the rest of the Amber Rise scheme continues, with Ashberry Homes set to complete its work there in 2023.
The neighbouring Bellway development, known as Coppice Heights, will comprise 257 homes, with two further showhomes also available to be viewed by prospective buyers.
There’s currently a choice of three and four-bedroom houses available to reserve at Amber Rise, with prices starting from £261,900.
