Beaulieu, the vibrant new district that has been created on the north-eastern edge of Chelmsford, is said to be making significant progress. As part of the development, phase one of Beaulieu Park region of the project has recently been completed. Following the completion of this stage, attention for this has turned to another of the progressing neighbourhoods that are under development.
Mick George Ltd, the East Anglian based construction company has been contracted to complete the demolition works as part of this development. This demolition contract mainly consists of the removal of Cottages, Barns, Stables and Farmhouses, which now make up a redundant compound. Once the demolition is complete, which will then allow the works to continue on the remaining ‘estates’ that complete a project.
When all of the construction work is completed in this Chelmsford site, the £1 billion venture from Countryside Zest (Beaulieu Park) LLP will include 3,600 new homes as well as a wide variety of community facilities including new primary schools, a railway station, commercial units and open park amenities.
The development has been laid out over 580 acres of farmland, and will comprise of a number of different residential areas that will all have their own distinct character, and cleverly linking around 176 acres of open space with the open countryside surrounding the development. The new development is in a good location for the London commuter belt as well as close to Chelmsford’s many attractions. The development is already proving highly desirable. It is great that the development is becoming sought after so early on, although it is thought that Beaulieu Park is around a decade away from completion.
The 615 homes that complete the Beaulieu Park first phase of the larger scheme are already all taken, mainly because of their high quality specification and period style design. The asking prices for these properties exceeded £900,000.
