Increased difficulties facing property professionals : The leading network for LGBT+ real estate professionals, Freehold, in partnership with BAME in Property, are hosting a virtual event to shine a spotlight on intersectionality in the property industry, highlighting the experiences of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic property professionals who also identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender.
This event features a keynote speech by Lady Phyll, co-founder of UK Black Pride, followed by a panel discussion with LGBTQ+ and ethnic minority property professionals, and closing remarks from RICS president Kath Fontana.
For LGBTQ+ people of colour, there are cultural barriers with coming out, and a general taboo in some communities. This event aims to inform, educate and give confidence to those who might not be fully comfortable coming out.
