A new joint venture has been formed between Anderson Group and Inland Homes in order to build as many as 95 new houses at Europa Way. The announcement of this new development is great news and will help to create more movement in the housing market in this area.
The proposed development has been valued in the region of £16 million and follows on from another development that has already been started in Basildon, Essex. The Essex joint venture housing development is being carried out by Anderson and Gardiners Lane.
The new joint venture partnership was announced by Inland as a part of other operational updates on the 2nd January. It is thought that in December the company managed to complete the sale of 146 plots in Birmingham to Crest Nicholson, this sale was carried out following the receipt of planning consent at the site. On top of this successful sale, the development company has also conditionally exchanged as a part of a deal with a developer on a further 87 plots that are located on an adjoining piece of land.
A private investor has also been revealed to have bought a brownfield site in Uxbridge, Middlesex. The site includes 58 plots and already has permission for the creation of around 750 sq. m. of commercial space, it is thought that Inland Partnerships will also be carrying out the construction works on this site. These two disposals have a commercial value of £12.7 million.
These development announcements seem to suggest that Inland Homes will have a very busy 2018 and the Chief Executive of the company, Stephen Wicks has said that the Group is in a good position in order to achieve more significant growth throughout the course of 2018. Inlands is a wholly owned subsidiary that focuses on the creation and delivery of residential units for housing associations as well as a range of other residential landlords. The company has been through an incredibly productive period of business and hopefully this will continue in the new year.
