Jones Homes, a family-owned housebuilder, has introduced the ‘Helping Hand’ initiative at its Wentworth View development in Thorpe Hesley to provide support to potential housebuyers. This scheme aims to assist purchasers in overcoming obstacles they may face when trying to buy a house.
The ‘Helping Hand’ initiative offers tailored support that can include deposit top-ups and assistance with initial mortgage repayments or fees. It is designed to be flexible and customised to meet the specific needs of each individual buyer, making it different from traditional one-size-fits-all incentives offered by housebuilders.
Jayne Swift, Sales and Marketing Director at Jones Homes Yorkshire, explained, “As a family-owned business, we appreciate the pressures that many households are currently facing on their finances due to the rising cost of living and higher interest rates.
“Many people may see the current economic climate as a barrier to them getting onto the property ladder so we want to do what we can to help those aspiring buyers achieve their dream of home ownership.
“While it’s not unusual for housebuilders to offer specific incentives to customers, what makes ‘Helping Hand’ different is its flexibility. Rather than offering a defined one-size-fits-all solution, the support offered through the scheme can be tailored to meet the needs of each individual buyer.”
The ‘Helping Hand’ scheme is available at selected Jones Homes developments, including Wentworth View in Thorpe Hesley. This development features a range of three and five-bedroom homes starting at £265,995. Jones Homes is constructing 144 homes at Wentworth View, located off Upper Wortley Road.
