Land with development potential is among the early lots lined up for the next Bond Wolfe property auction to be held on Thursday 26 October.
The livestreamed event comes hot on the heels of Bond Wolfe’s September auction, which set a new record for auction sales in 2023, raising more than £26 million from the sale of 135 out of the 163 lots on offer – a success rate of 83%, well above the industry average.
Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, said: “A global audience now watches our auctions, and it is heartening to see the growing interest in the auction route for those who want to sell or buy with the certainty of a sale that auctions deliver.
“Investors recognise the auction ‘room’ as a significant source of opportunities.”
One of the star lots at the October sale will undoubtedly be a prime plot of land on the edge of the highly desirable Worcestershire village of Hagley.
Close to existing residential areas, the parcel extending to almost 10 acres will attract considerable interest from developers across the country with an eye for potential sites.
The land at Pedmore Lane, Pedmore, in open countryside between Stourbridge and Hagley, is listed with a guide price* of £89,000+.
Mr Bassi said: “This is a relatively rectangular parcel of land, extending to approximately 9.91 acres, which may be suitable for a variety of uses, subject to obtaining the necessary planning consents.
“All interested parties should make their own enquiries to the local planning authority; Dudley Council.”
Mr Bassi added: “The land lies on the edge of the sought-after town of Hagley, which is located close to excellent road connections with convenient access to the M5 corridor north to Birmingham and south to Worcester and Bristol.
“Hagley offers a wide range of local amenities. Further facilities can be found in nearby Merry Hill, Stourbridge, as well as Birmingham city centre.
“Within the area, there are excellent choices of both state and private schools. The prestigious King Edward VI College is located in Stourbridge. There are further private and state schools in Worcestershire as well as the surrounding counties.”
Nearby, another plot of land is also coming up for sale at the Bond Wolfe auction.
The land at Pedmore Hall Lane, Pedmore, extends to 1.04 acres and has a guide price of £10,000+.
Mr Bassi said: “Here we have another freehold parcel of land, irregular in shape, which may be suitable for a variety of uses subject to obtaining the necessary planning consents.
“Their location will make both this plots highly attractive to developers and investors seeking sites with potential and we expect highly competitive bidding on the day of the sale.”
The two plots near Hagley are among scores of properties that are appearing in Bond Wolfe’s next auction, which will start at 9am on Thursday 26 October.
