Global golf entertainment specialist firm Topgolf Entertainment Group (TEG) is seeking more land for its rapid expansion in the UK.
The firm claims that there is no entertainment centre like it. The sites offer competitive golf games for all skill levels and ages and advanced technology to track the shots taken by players.
Also featured at the centres are food and drink, meeting places, music and entertainment areas.
TEG’s overseas focus division, Topgolf International, is looking for a further 10-15 locations in the UK and has made a commitment to open two new sites every year, attracting around 13 million visitors this year and 17 million in the next year.
The company has given Savills instruction to help with the search for new site locations and is looking specifically for suitable sites that offer eight to 12 acres of land to accommodate the required car parking spaces, a 250 metre driving range and a 60,000 sq ft building.
The firm, in conjunction with Savills, is looking for sites that are situated withina 20 minute sdrive of major cities with over half a million inhabitants, such as London, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Southampton, Portsmouth, Liverpool and Oxford.
Leasehold or freehold agreements can be agreed with a 25 year minimum and sites should ideally need to be located in a prominent position or on a business park, retail park or on arterial roads.
The concept of Topgolf was born in Watford in 2000 and now the company operates 26 centres throughout the world, with UK sites in Essex, Surrey and Hertfordshire.
