The 100 Avebury Boulevard development in Milton Keynes will begin its initial work, with the first occupants expected to be in place by the late summer of 2019. The project is set to become Central Milton Keynes newest Grade A office and retail development.
The building was accredited by BREEAM as sustainable and low energy and will provide 140,000 square feet of contemporary office space and retail space across 8 floors, together with a private multi storey car park. The public plaza at the front of the building offers external amenity space and a walkway through to the 10 m high reception.
The aim of this project is to attract blue-chip tenants, while making a major contribution to the ongoing development of CMK. Residents will be attracted by the impressive specification of the building and the strong economic positioning of Milton Keynes.
‘’It’s always nice to have some association with high-profile projects such as this. We have been selected on merit to deliver the Earthworks package, which is a testament to our service offering. We have a strong partnership with Galliford Try Building Ltd and I’m positive that will be reflected in performance for this particular job,” said Michael George, Contracts Director at Mick George Ltd, the Earthworks conductors.
The borough of Milton Keynes is one of the fastest growing local authorities in the UK, with more jobs than resident workers. Approximately 50,000 people commute to MK by wide-ranging infrastructure links.
It has been reported as the UK’s fastest growing economy for the third year in a row and was one of only seven cities to achieve annual GVA growth of at least 2.0% in 2017. Santander, Home Retail Group, and Network Rail are a few examples of corporate organisation that have located their head offices in Milton Keynes.
