Shop premises with potential for residential development, subject to planning permission, in the busy Worcestershire town of Redditch are up for sale in Bond Wolfe’s next auction.

The vacant freehold town centre retail unit at 5 Evesham Walk has a guide price* of £275,000+ in the livestreamed auction on Thursday 11 July.

Ian Tudor, commercial auction director of Bond Wolfe, explained: “The upper floors of this property are considered suitable for residential conversion, subject to planning permission.

“5 Evesham Walk occupies a prime position close to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre in this charming and popular market town.

“As a result, we expect considerable interest from developers and investors from both across the UK and overseas when it comes up for sale at our livestreamed auction.”

The property is an attractive three-storey and mid terraced property with a ground floor retail unit extending to 1,150 sq ft and basement storage of 640 sq ft.

There is additional self-contained accommodation on the first and second floors accessed from the rear which measures some 1,250 sq ft, and this could offer the potential for residential conversion, subject to planning consents.

The vast majority of the premises are freehold with a small portion of the rear ground floor being long leasehold.

The property fronts the pedestrianised Evesham Street which links Market Place to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.

The premises are next to Deniz Hair and other brands nearby include the West Bromwich Building Society, Cafe Nero, Halifax Building Society and Santander.

This Redditch property is among 194 lots that are appearing in Bond Wolfe’s next auction, which will start at 8.30am on Thursday 11 July.
