Sava, the UK’s leading provider of skills, insights and analytics is set to announce new Level 4 awards to further cover social landlords’ skill gaps and meet new challenges. Sava is committed to making buildings better, principally through increasing skills and knowledge, and providing technology to analyse their performance and make recommendations for improvement.
The new qualifications focus on ‘bricks and mortar’ skills. Learning is delivered online to provide flexibility and ensure an accessible price point. The self-paced learning means individuals can work at their own speed, around busy schedules.
At Housing 2024 Sava will launch a Level 4 Certificate in Understanding Housing Construction. The awards within the program are diverse and include Introductions to Law and Health and Safety as well as awards in Building Regulations, Flat Roofs and Sites and Foundations. Candidates will undertake two mandatory awards and three optional ones. Available awards can be viewed at https://tinyurl.com/mprsjm7v
From Summer 2024 Sava will launch Level 4 Certificates in Understanding Housing and Safety and Understanding Damp in Housing. Level 4 Awards in specific modules like Electrics and Gas in Domestic Property will sit alongside current modules.
“Managing housing effectively requires a comprehensive understanding of construction, building materials performance, and how external influences impact properties and residents. Without this core knowledge, we can’t keep residents warm, dry and safe.”
Hilary Grayson, Director of Surveying Services at Sava
All qualifications are modular and stackable. Awards can be stacked to build certificates, which can then be stacked to build diplomas. Achievement of a certificate will lead to membership of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), ensuring professional endorsement. All awards and certificates are accredited by the Awarding Body for the Built Environment (part of Birmingham City University) and Ofqual.
Sava will be unveiling their new range of qualifications at Housing 2024 in Manchester on 25th June. They have commissioned a fully sustainable exhibition stand by Quadrant2Design from which they will be demonstrating Sava Intelligent Energy and their consultancy services.
