A rare opportunity to acquire a residential development opportunity in the affluent, leafy suburb of Earlsfield in the London Borough of Wandsworth has come on the market through Watling Real Estate.
Jamie Lamond and Tom Colyer in Watling’s London office are seeking a developer for the site where planning is being sought for 17 apartments over one to four storeys.
The site at 8 Ravensbury Terrace in SW18 is approximately 300m from Earlsfield railway station, with trains every few minutes connecting to the London tube network.
Jamie Lamond explained that Watling Real Estate had been appointed sole agents on the site by receivers at RSM UK.
“This is a site in a popular location, a few minutes’ walk from attractions such as Wimbledon Common, Garratt Park and Southside Shopping Centre. It’s an area that is popular with young professionals and families alike and we are anticipating strong interest in the potential of this development,” he said.
The plans, as submitted to Wandsworth Borough Council, involve the demolition of existing properties, which has now been completed, and the erection of a new building including one, three and four storeys on the site.
They envisage 3 x 1 bedroom, 13 x 2 bedroom, and 1 x 3 bedroom units, together with a flood water attenuation tank at basement level, landscaping, bicycle and refuse storage and works to the river wall.
Mr Lamond said that Section 106 contributions and CIL payments were yet to be confirmed but the application status was registered with the recommendation of approval, subject to legal agreement and CIL.
Offers in excess of £3 million are sought for the freehold interest, and more details are available from jamie.lamond@watling.com and tom.colyer@watling.com and https://watling.com/property/223036/
