Amey wins waste water contract with Yorkshire Water
Public and regulated services provider, Amey, has been awarded a five-year deal worth £113 million to deliver waste water services across the whole of Yorkshire Water’s region.
Commencing in September, Amey will repair and maintain around 20,000 miles of sewer pipe which transports waste water from nearly two million homes to over 600 waste water treatment works in the area, as well as support Yorkshire Water to protect homes from sewer flooding and pollution incidents.
The contract award will see Amey expand its presence in the North of England and build upon its existing relationship with Yorkshire Water, having worked with the company for five years.
Mel Ewell, CEO, Amey, said:
“We are delighted to expand the scope of our work with Yorkshire Water. Both our organisations will work together to improve essential services and provide an outstanding customer experience across the region.”
The contract will run until April 2020, and comes with the option to be extended for a further five years.
