Bouygues Energies & Services has been awarded a five-year contract to deliver building and facilities management services for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MF&RS).
One of the largest fire authorities in the UK, the Merseyside portfolio encompasses operational fire and rescue stations, a marine unit, MF&RS headquarters and the MF&RS Training and Development Academy (TDA).
Under the terms of the deal, the Bouygues Energies & Services team will provide mechanical & electrical maintenance, cleaning, security and grounds maintenance services, working alongside a number of the existing staff who already work at the sites in this area and new recruits.
Tony Bignold, regional director for Bouygues Energies & Services said:
“We are exceptionally proud to have this opportunity to work in partnership with such a highly regarded organisation. We look forward to supporting and working with their close ties in the Merseyside community.”
Stewart Woods, head of Eetates for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Authority, added:
“The nature of our work means that our buildings have some unique functions and we are impressed with Bouygues’ commitment to taking the time to understand and address our specific needs. This contract to deliver Building and Facilities Management Services is part of our long-term approach to reducing our costs in the light of budget cuts.”
