People who are looking to buy their first houses in Oldham were given the opportunity to find out how they can step on to the property ladder as part of a special event that took place last weekend, the 1st and 2nd April.
The event was put on by the housing developer Linden Homes North West. The developer invited potential home buyers to their newly launched St Augustine’s development. The new housing collection includes 54 three and four-bedroomed homes in a combination of detached and semi-detached. The new development is located close to Oldham’s bustling town centre.
It was hoped that the prospective first time buyers were attended by an independent financial advisor who were on hand between 10am and 5pm during the Saturday in order to offer free impartial advice on budgets and mortgage plans. There were also Linden Homes experienced sales team members that were available for the people who attended the event in order to guide the potential customers through the application process as well as being able to discuss how schemes such as the Help to Buy scheme backed by the government can help them get on the property ladder.
First time buyers are also able to benefit from the ‘Complete First Time Buyer Furniture Package’ that has been created by Linden Homes and includes a wide variety of things that can help ensure a hassle-free move including contemporary furniture and accessories.
With the prices of the properties on the development starting from £172,995 it is proving popular with first time buyers. Twelve of the properties on the development have already been sold and reserved ‘off-plan’. There was also a strong amount of interest in many of the properties with the upcoming phases. The first time buyers weekend has been a great opportunity for anyone that is interested in buying brand new houses.
