The Shrewsbury Branch of General Building Plastics, or GB Plastics will be holding a training day on the 21st September focusing on flat roofing systems. The training day will be the third held by GB Plastics at this branch and the fourth to be held across the Midlands.
The event will be held in partnership with Cromar, the materials supply company and will focus on the new Pro GRP solution. This new liquid applied glass reinforced polyester flat roofing solution is suitable for use on a variety of flat roofing solutions up to vertical surfaces such as the sides of a dormer, the inside of a mansard or to create a parapet style roof.
The training day is ideal for those looking to learn or brush up on their knowledge about the installation process of a flat roofing solution using one of the latest products on the market. GB Plastics holds a range of training days in order to reinforce their support of roofers and building trade professionals as well as those who are keen to do DIY and customers looking to improve their skills. As part of this, GB Plastics has also held demonstration days with around sixty local roofers and installers, a number of which have gone on to become fully registered in the trade.
The session will be held at Battlefield Enterprise Park and will be run by Cromar’s area trainer Scott Williams who is a roofer himself. Cromar will be offering a comprehensive training programme for the new system and make sure that anyone looking to install the new ProGRP system is fully informed about the importance of each installation step, so that the product will fit together and work properly when fully installed. The training day is recommended for trades people in the local area in order to allow them to use the market leading roofing solutions.
