National Theatre extends cleaning deal with Emprise
Support services provider, Emprise Services plc, has been awarded a three-year contract extension with the National Theatre, situated on London’s South Bank.
The extension, which commenced this month, will see Emprise’s cleaning division continue to provide a range of daily cleaning services, along with deep cleaning to a number of areas from kitchens to auditoriums and a significant amount of window cleaning.
Duncan Watt, head of building operations at the National Theatre, said:
“I have worked closely with Emprise since taking over management of the cleaning contract. They have proved they can manage a challenging site with skill and expertise. We have recently gone through a venue wide re-development with our NT Future project which has required a significant amount of flexibility on the part of Emprise. They have risen to the challenge enabling us to provide a welcoming and clean venue.”
The National Theatre has four theatres with a combined seating capacity of over 2,500. The building also houses departments for making scenery, props, costumes and wigs, and everything else required to bring productions to the stage. There are several restaurants, cafes and bars for visitors and audiences, as well as exhibition galleries, a learning centre and a bookshop.
