Business Masters Awards 2021. Leading British designer and manufacturer of quality fitted furniture is proud to announce it has been shortlisted at the 11th Yorkshire Business Masters Awards, becoming 1 of 4 finalists in the running to win the new and highly sought-after award for Sustainability.
In association with TheBusinessDesk.com, the 2021 Business Masters Awards celebrates the best Yorkshire has to offer with categories for all business types and a total of 13 prizes, all independently judged and scheduled to be presented to the winners at the landmark Queens Hotel in Leeds on Thursday 14th October 2021.
This year is particularly significant given the huge challenges national and regional trading have faced due to the pandemic, and this has required businesses nationwide to be even more agile, innovative and resilient. In recognition of the constantly evolving landscape, two new awards categories have been added to the line-up this year: 1) Disruptor and 2) Sustainability. These new categories will allow businesses in Yorkshire to showcase achievements in two areas – how businesses are harnessing the power of technology to change their company and industry, and how a company address environmental issues to protect the planet.
Simon Bodsworth, Managing Director at Daval Furniture says:
“I strongly believe that you make your own luck in business and ethical investments and supporting your local community are fundamental factors. As we adjust to changes following Brexit and look to support British manufacturing by adopting more sustainable strategies across the built environment, we are pleased to be able to offer a retail package that is efficient, high quality and sustainable with a highly desirable ‘signature style’ that considers the individual, home architecture and planet in one.”
“We are therefore extremely proud to bring the best of sustainable British manufacturing to thousands of properties across the UK and it is a credit to our loyal and hardworking team that we continue to serve real needs, in real time. This award nomination is yet another step forward for our 100% recycled collection Renzo, which marks our strong company ethos of eco-responsibility and initiatives like ‘Buy British’ and ‘Shop Local’ – fingers crossed for the results in October.”
“Consumers are increasingly fascinated with the provenance and longevity of materials, especially when it comes to buying a replacement or new kitchen, which is why Daval is committed to the environment, creating products and manufacturing techniques which forge a sustainable future for our business. The company offers a luxurious furniture portfolio that offers each customer a range of different styles, materials and finishes with the opportunity to select from sustainably-sourced hand painted oak and ash kitchens to the latest Shaker-inspired units which have a revolutionary self-repairing foil finish for extended lifespan” adds Simon.
Ben Ormsby, Yorkshire Editor at TheBusinessDesk.com, says “We were overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of entries for this year’s awards, with many demonstrating resilience and forward thinking in the face of the challenges brought about by the pandemic. The judges had some very tough decisions to make over the shortlist, as the competition was extremely high. This year’s shortlist features an array of interesting businesses, of different sizes, who are focused on ensuring success for their business, as well as supporting their employees and the regional economy. We were particularly excited by the quality of entries into our two new categories of Disruptor and Sustainability which really highlighted some of the amazing work being undertaken in Yorkshire.”
