Family Mosaic has purchased land in Lewisham with plans to create a new mixed-tenure development of 49 homes.
The Loampit Vale site will provide 19 homes for private sale, 18 for social rent, and 12 will be made available through Shared Ownership.
Located at 87-89 Loampit Vale, Lewisham, the site was purchased in May this year and the developer working with Family Mosaic will be Purelake.
Construction on the site is due for completion at the end of next year and once finished, Loampit Vale is designed to be a modern, highly desirable development for Londoners to live in.
Family Mosaic’s Group Director of Development & Sales, Dick Mortimer, said: “I am delighted that we have entered into an Agreement with our colleagues at Purelake to build out this scheme.
“Designed by Alan Camp it will contribute to the continuing regeneration of Lewisham Town Centre and importantly offers over 60% of the development as genuinely affordable homes for local people.”
The development will be situated close to Lewisham Town Centre which is home to a big selection of bars, cafes and shops, along with the Lewisham Leisure Centre.
Located just to the east of the development is Prendergast Vale School which opens educational avenues for future residents, while just south of the site is Hilly Fields Park. Also not too far from Loampit Vale is the picturesque, tranquil Greenwich Park.
The site is also able to boast superb transport facilities as Lewisham Station is found just 200 metres from the site and serves the South Eastern over-ground line that goes directly into central London.
DLR services are also available which connect the site with the financial district in Canary Wharf, while bus routes are available on Loampit Vale that run along Lewisham Way and into the centre of London.
Family Mosaic say that they will provide further information on the homes available at Loampit Vale through private sale and Shared Ownership closer to completion.
