Houses under £500,000 launch in Barking Riverside

Bellway London has opened its second phase of homes at Eastbrooke Village, known as The Point. This is the only opportunity currently available in Barking Riverside to purchase a newbuild house.

This phase is set to offer 167 homes overall – a mix of three-bedroom houses and one, two and three-bedroom apartments.

The first homes released for sale comprise 22 three-bedroom townhouses – 19 of which are for private sale plus three set aside as affordable housing for local people. All properties currently for sale include rear gardens and parking. Prices start from £465,995.

Dominic Griffiths, Bellway London Head of Sales, said: “We are confident that the latest phase at Eastbrooke Village, The Point, is going to help meet the growing demand for homeownership in this area in a significant way. This is the only opportunity to currently secure a house within the popular location of Barking Riverside.

“Whether first-time buyers, commuters, families or investors, there is appeal here for those across the buying spectrum. There aren’t many places you could secure a brand new house in a London Borough for under £500,000.

“Barking Riverside is a vibrant and forward-thinking community, with sustainability, health and culture at its forefront. And with easy access into Central London, you really do get the best of both worlds.”

The area is served by its own Overground Station, offering connections to major stops on London’s Underground network. Residents can also travel into the city via an Uber Boat offered by Thames Clipper.

Within the local community, there is significant open green space, including natural ponds and waterways, two nature reserves and a park.
